Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
TournMate ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App").
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, date of birth.
- Usage Data: App interactions, device information, IP address.
- Optional Data: Profile details (skill level, playing hand, avatar), tournament participation history, and calorie tracking data.
- HealthKit Data: With your explicit permission, we read workout and active energy data from Apple HealthKit. We do not write to or share your HealthKit data with third parties.
- Location Data: When you use the Court Finder feature, we may access your general location to show nearby venues. We do not continuously track your location.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Facilitate tournament participation and open play sessions.
- Provide calorie tracking and fitness estimates.
- Display nearby courts and venues.
- Improve app performance and user experience.
- Communicate updates, notifications, and important announcements.
4. Payments Disclaimer
TournMate does not process payments. Any payments — including tournament entry fees and open play session costs — are handled directly between users and event organizers. We do not collect, store, or have access to any payment card or financial account information.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Service Providers: Third-party tools used to operate the App (e.g., Firebase for authentication and data storage, analytics providers).
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of TournMate, our users, or the public.
We will never share your Apple HealthKit data with third parties or use it for advertising purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services or comply with legal obligations. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
- Data portability (receive your data in a structured format).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@s2agloballlc.com.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy & Age Requirement
TournMate requires users to be at least 13 years of age to create an account. We verify this by requiring a date of birth during account setup. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If a user's date of birth indicates they are under 13, account creation is blocked and no personal data is stored.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at contact@s2agloballlc.com and we will take steps to delete it promptly.
Why we collect date of birth: In addition to age verification, your date of birth is used to determine eligibility for age-restricted tournament categories (e.g., Under 17, Senior 35+). Your exact date of birth is stored securely and is never displayed publicly — only your calculated age is used for eligibility checks.
10. International Users
By using the App, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Data protection laws in these countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
11. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including Firebase (Google), Apple HealthKit, Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, and DiceBear. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
